PROCEDURES :: TUMMY TUCK
Tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty surgery, is a procedure to remove excess loose or sagging skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten weakened or stretched muscles due to pregnancy, excess weight gain or loss.
This procedure can dramatically improve the appearance of a protruding or sagging abdomen.In most cases,after a tummy tuck, if you follow a balanced diet and exercise regularly, the results can be long-lasting.
Your abdominoplasty will be individualized to your specific condition.
A tummy tuck may correct stretch marks if they are primarily located on the areas of excess skin that will be excised or removed. Generally the stretch marks that most amenable to surgical removal are below the belly button. There are many variations to tummy tuck surgery; the technique selected is dependant on the degree of correction necessary to achieve a flatter profile and firmer abdomen. Incision length and pattern depend on the amount and location of excess skin to be removed, as well as personal preference and surgical judgment.
Liposuction may be used in conjunction with a tummy tuck to recontour the abdomen or other areas of the body by removing localized excess fat deposits.
Patients should plan on no work or social activities for approximately two weeks and no heavy lifting or abdominal excercises for up to six to eight weeks following surgery.
Fees for aesthetic surgery are customarily paid prior to the surgery. The costs may vary depending on the procedure and/or complexity of the surgery. All costs will be reviewed with you at the time of your initial consultation. Generally, our patients are pleasantly surprised with the affordability that our fees offer. If necessary, financing is available.
